
Minnie Ferguson is Nawa. She is a co-founder and Director of Education of Semillas Sociedad Civil and the educational leader of Anawakalmekak, Los Angeles’ only Indigenous Peoples TK-12 school. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Urban Planning from UCLA. She holds a Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential, an Administrative Services Credential, and a Master’s in Educational Administration from CSULA. Ms. Ferguson is a UCLA PLI Field Supervisor and lecturer. At UCLA, she helped lead a student movement that designed and founded the Cesar Chavez Chicana and Chicano Studies Department.
